2017 Fall Trends

I know it’s still summer (especially here in California) but I cannot tell you guys how impatiently I’m waiting for fall to come. The seasonal drinks, holidays, decor- I am 100% here for it all. But above all that, I love love love fall fashion and I’m so excited for this year’s trends.

I’ve spent the last 4 years in the Midwest during the fall, which is definitely different that California fall. But I think that these three trends are extremely doable no matter which coast you’re on!

Statement Sleeve
This is probably my absolute favorite trend of the moment and one that will probably pop up a lot on the blog. A fun statement sleeve instantly elevates any outfit in my opinion and I love that you can get them in such a variety- off the shoulder, with cut outs or a dramatic high collar.

My fave color + the #NSale

Unless you’ve been MIA from social media this week, you know that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening right now!

What is it?

A yearly Nordstrom sale with killer deals

July 13- August 6

Early Access for Nordstrom cardholders began on July 13

The sale is open to the public tomorrow so be ready to snag those deals ASAP!

I’m obsessed with a lot of the offerings in the sale- it’s definitely not one you want to miss.

My other favorite thing? All the products available in “Millenial Pink.” Pink has always been one of my favorite colors, and I’m so into the fact that this dusty rose shade is so on trend right now.

Larocka Booties
These booties are a great transition shoe. I love that they’ve got a chic slit and a perfect everyday heel. They’ll work just as well with a casual end of summer dress for as they will with a pair of leggings and an oversized cardigan.

Summer Wedding Guest

Happy June babes! And with that, wedding season is upon us! I have 4 weddings (one down, three to go!) on my calendar this summer alone! I got off lucky with the first- I was a bridesmaid so my outfit was decided on months ago. As for the next three… ooh. Not so sure yet.

So obviously I’ve been on the hunt for some great pieces I can snag. If summer weddings – or honestly, any dressy summer parties in general- are on your agenda this year, check out these five fun and chic pieces!

ONE.  Shoulder Tie Lace Dress
Honestly for me, one of my fave things about clothing in general is fun sleeves! No matter what the season, I’m always down to have a unique sleeve moment. I think it just adds an extra element of chic to any look. That being said, I think this feminine tie sleeve dress is perfect for a wedding that’s more on the formal side!

Travel Essentials

 denim shirt/ striped top (similar)/sunglasses/leggings (I’m obsessed!)/ sneakers

Summertime means vacation (hopefully!) and with that, travel! If you aren’t properly prepared, an uncomfortable flight can set even the most exciting trip off on a sour note. And no one wants that, right?

Between going to college out of state for four years and traveling abroad for a semester, I’ve definitely picked up tips and tricks to make airport travel a little more relaxing (well, as relaxing as it can be).

Two weeks ago Carl and I traveled back to Ohio to be in my friend’s wedding and we spent Memorial Day Weekend road tripping up to San Francisco. Regardless of whether you’re traveling by plane or car, there are a few essentials that are a must.

Obsessively Grateful

top//jeans (similar)//necklace (similar)//shoes//bag- SOLD OUT :( (similar)

Happy Monday!

This past weekend, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the power of positivity and gratitude in my life. I’ve always been a person who naturally looks on the bright side of things, whether things were going great or they were really crappy. I’m coming to realize what a gift that is, even though at times I can get caught up in self-pity and complaining, about big and little things..

But what good does that do? None. Who am I helping by complaining? No one. How is having a pity party for one going to help my situation? Not at all.
