Ways to Get Organized

Hello Monday- and new month!

I don’t know about you guys, but one of my favorite things to do at the start of a new month or week is fill out my calendar and planner!

Call me crazy but I use both physical and digital calendars and tools to keep my life together- it just makes things easier! I have so many different things happening and I want to make sure it’s all covered and I know what’s on my schedule.

Today I’m sharing some of the apps/ planing supplies I use that help me keep everything (mostly) together!

I love love a big, heavy planner. I don’t know how anyone uses small pocket-sized ones, honestly.  There’s just something about the colors, the pages and being able to write and then physically cross things off my day. I’m loving the Happy Planner I have (I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby!) because it’s a perfect size and is setup just how I like. It’s got 3 rings that make it easy to flip around and the days are organized into 3 sections (basically your morning, afternoon and evening) which I love!

I also love the Plum Paper Planners, which I used last year! You can get this one in the same daily set up or with more sections/subjects if you’re still in school!

Obviously Google Calendar is a go-to. If you’re not using it, you are missing out! My top reason is that in addition to being able to color-code each event entered (the best), you can also share your calendar. This is perfect, because Carl works in hospitals, so his schedule is different every week. Sharing our GC’s makes life so much easier. I use my calendar to time-block my activities, work, errands, etc. And having notifications and reminders pop up, which are major lifesavers!

Another app I use is the Reminders app- the little notepad that comes with the Iphone. This is great for jotting down to-do lists or blog content ideas. The app has been updated quite a bit over the last few years, and it’s really customizable now. This also has sharing capabilities, so I can create a grocery list and share it so Carl can add/delete from it.
These are some of the things that keep me organized through the week! What apps/planners do you love? Let me know below or on my latest IG post
