Happy happy Friday! I don’t know about you guys but I am beyond ready for the weekend. I’m planning to spend my chilly weekend afternoon/evenings curled up with a steaming mug of tea to finish Grey’s Anatomy with Carl (we are SO close!).
Today I’m starting a new series- Friday Favorites! It won’t be on a regular schedule, but I thought it would be a fun way once in awhile to a few life updates, photos, etc. along with some of my recent favorites!
Pumpkin patch fun! Whoever came up with the idea to put a pumpkin patch on a winery is one of my new heroes.
It’s not fall without cozy sweaters and clocking in hours at my favorite local coffee shops. Read on for my obsession with this nail color!
- Nails: I recently got my nails done and I am obsessed with the color! I was back and forth between a nude or burgundy shade and made a last-minute decision on this shade from China Glaze. The shade is gorgeous- a perfect fall nude that I am definitely saving as a favorite shade for future use.
- Blessed Is She Advent Journal: It might seem wayyyy early to be thinking about Advent, but at the rate that this year has flown by (and how much faster these last two months will go!), I’m trying to plan as much as possible. I’m so excited to use this gorgeous journal to help make the most of my Advent season! I’ll be posting more about it as we get into Advent, but make sure to snag yours now to have it in time to follow along!
- Mock Turtleneck Sweaters: Now that it’s finally consistently chilly and feeling like fall here, I am all over sweater weather. I’ve been slowly stockpiling sweaters over the last two months eagerly awaiting this time and it’s here! I bought a mock turtleneck type sweater on a whim and I love it. I don’t know what it is, but the combo of the sweater + cigarette pants + flats has been my go-to lately. Loving these other sweaters too (1+2).
As far as a life update, things are now picking up speed. I have a weekend retreat coming up for youth ministry, my birthday (woo!), a blogger brunch and a LOT of holiday prep! Not to mention that Carl and I are both looking at the possibility of going back to school. Craziness.
Regardless, this is my absolute favorite time of the year- especially now that it’s getting colder! The hustle and bustle keeps me on my toes, and honestly I just love allll the holiday things! The music, decorations, family and friend time- it’s the best.
Also- I’m hoping to squeeze a Christmas card photo shoot in a few weeks, so if you have any tips or inspo, I’d love to see it! Do you guys usually do cards?
Hoping you have a relaxing, joyful weekend!
