Fall Beauty Faves

Fall is one of the best times of the year, and one of the reasons I love it so much is the trends! All the dark, glam shades are the best.
It’s also a signal of changing things up beauty-wise. I tend to be more experimental with my colors and go for more drama and reach for different products. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorites lately!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

Primer is beyond essential, no matter what time of the year. It helps smooth out skin and creates a great canvas for makeup. Texture-wise, it’s a very non-oily formula and feels more lightweight than the other heavier primers in my makeup box, but still does its job while feeling hydrating. It’s also paraben-free!

Covergirl Outlast Foundation

This is my current fave foundation! I’ve tried a handful of different brands and formulas- especially since my summer color is fading-  and this one is by far my favorite. I think that just in general Covergirl is one of the best drugstore foundations- I’ve never come across one I didn’t love. The color matches my skin really well (my shade is Soft Honey) and it stays on for hours. It’s a 3 in one combo-  the foundation with added concealer, primer and SPF! It doesn’t feel cakey and is very blendable with medium coverage.

L.A. Girl Matte Lipstick in “ Runway“

I’m allll about a bold berry lip for the fall! I feel like it adds an edge to your look- especially if you’re like me and normally don’t play up your lips. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, and when it’s time to swipe on a dark lip, I feel like a whole new person. This matte berry shade from L.A. Girl  is my favorite so far for this year. The price point is good, I love the applicator shape and the color is beautiful. It’s dark without looking too black and really pops.

Urban Decay Smoky Eye Palette (on sale!!)

Another great essential. I picked this one up from Sephora a few weeks ago when they were on sale (grabbed the last one!) and I’m so glad I did. It’s by no means a new palette, but I was really in need of an update. I have the original Naked Palette and Naked 2 and I love both, so I had high hopes for the Naked Smoky and I was not disappointed! The colors are beautiful and I love the inclusion of so many shimmers! I tend not to go too crazy with my everyday eye makeup and though this palette does have some really great dark colors to smoke out for events, the neutrals are just as beautiful.

Ardell Lashes

My makeup is not complete until my lashes are done. If you’ve been following, you know I had lash extensions for about 6 months. I loved my extensions- it was so nice to be able to wake up and already have perfect lashes! But they definitely get pricey quickly and we are saving up for a move soon, the holidays are coming, and I just want to give my eyes a break for a while.
After removing them, I had forgotten how small and straight my natural lashes are! So I’ve been back in the habit of wearing the strips- but honestly, I’m loving it! I like the versatility of being able to use different types of lashes and the fact that they always look big and full, whereas once I was getting close to needing a fill of the extensions, they looked a little more sparse. Ardell lashes are always a fave for me, and these double up lashes are perfect for my everyday makeup (and this is my go-to glue!).

  1. I completely agree- Fall is my favorite time of the year, 100 percent! I’m really tempted to splash out on a naked palette, but I don’t know whether to get a Morphe one instead. What do you think? Also, the packaging of the smoky palette is GORGEOUS! xx

    1. I love my Naked Palettes! They’re very pigmented and the colors are great for everything- the smoky is on sale so I’d definitely recommend it. I’ve actually been thinking about getting a Morphe one too!
