Current Skincare Faves

I don’t know about you guys, but this end of summer/pre-fall time of the year always wreaks havoc on my skin. I have combination skin, so it’s all over the place. I’ve been adding  a few new products to my routine over the summer and these are my current faves!

Facial Razors
Ok, so first things first. Lately, I’ve been taking these razors and shaving my face. Forehead, sides of the face, cheeks- pretty much everywhere with hair other than my brows. At first when I heard about this from one of my fave blogger babes Lauryn Evarts, I thought it was beyond bizarre. However, after reading her post and having done this consistently for the last 2 months or so, all apprehension is gone. These dollar store gems make hair removal quick and easy and leave your face feeling seriously so soft! And bonus- having that smooth canvas makes your makeup sit much better and look 1000x more #flawless.

Gentle Cleanser
This cleanser is my go-to. I’ve been extremely lucky that I’ve never had major acne problems- most of my skin issues lie in discoloration and oiliness. So this cleanser isn’t a super strong acne fighting formula, but I’ve found that it gets the job done. It strips my face of any makeup or sunscreen easily and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Rosewater Mist
This rosewater spray is my fave part of my skincare routine lately! I love the strong smell of roses- it makes me feel so feminine and even Carl commented that he liked the smell the first time I put it on before bed. In addition to smelling fab, this mist has a ton of benefits that I’m loving! It contains Vitamin E oil, geranium and rose water- all of which are anti-inflammatory and help with redness. I spray it on under my moisturizer in the morning and after cleansing at night.

Wine Wipes
These wipes are a fun treat in my routine. I don’t use them as an everyday product like the others mentioned here- this is more like a once-a-week product. I love that each pad has a little sleeve cutout too because it makes it easy to use. This product gently exfoliates and is soaked in red wine + lactic acid, among other things. But these wipes reach deep into your pores to clean them out and exfoliate your skin while also moisturizing. I swear, my face has never felt as soft as it has since I started using these!
