Happy June babes! And with that, wedding season is upon us! I have 4 weddings (one down, three to go!) on my calendar this summer alone! I got off lucky with the first- I was a bridesmaid so my outfit was decided on months ago. As for the next three… ooh. Not so sure yet.
So obviously I’ve been on the hunt for some great pieces I can snag. If summer weddings – or honestly, any dressy summer parties in general- are on your agenda this year, check out these five fun and chic pieces!
ONE. Shoulder Tie Lace Dress
Honestly for me, one of my fave things about clothing in general is fun sleeves! No matter what the season, I’m always down to have a unique sleeve moment. I think it just adds an extra element of chic to any look. That being said, I think this feminine tie sleeve dress is perfect for a wedding that’s more on the formal side!
TWO. Floral Keyhole Dress
Everyone loves a good floral dress for summer events but it seems like they all look the same after awhile. What I love about this one is the small detailing- the choker cut and loops in the cutout make all the difference in helping this dress to stand out as a more fun and flirty piece!
THREE. Scalloped Shift Dress
At a wedding you can always catch me at the bar and on the dance floor all night long, so a dress that comfortably allows for both is always at the top of my list. The flowy shift dress style allows you some moving room and the scallop cutouts make it summer-appropriate!
FOUR. Off the Shoulder Dress
Remember the fun sleeve moment we talked about earlier. This dress definitely qualifies under that category! I’m also obsessed with off-the-shoulder styles for the summer. I love long sleeve dresses for the fall, but as I mentioned earlier, I’m a fixture on the dance floor. Long sleeves + all this hair + California heat = photo-ruining pit stains. So nasty. This dress is the perfect in-between of being summer appropriate with a little sleeve action.
FIVE. Lace Maxi
Always gotta throw in a good maxi for those beach/backyard/breezy afternoon ceremonies. The top cut and loose tie waist save this lace dress from looking too old or frumpy and honestly I could see myself re-wearing this little number from weddings to wine tastings to a formal brunch.
Now who has some shoe suggestions?!
