Planning

plannerreview

We are halfway through August! And for some of you, that might mean back to school. Which, when I was in school, meant that it was time to order a new planner! I live for planners. Like to the point where my husband bought me one for my birthday one year that I had been dying for and I could not have been happier.

While I do love apps like Google Calendar, different lists, etc., I always like to also have a tangible planner to write in on hand! I like to decorate the planner, write out goals and to do lists, etc. I feel like I’m more productive and more on top of my game when I handwrite my tasks in, but maybe that’s just me…

Anyways, I’m a big fan. So to me, planner shopping has always been important. I’ve gone through a handful of stages in life- high school student to college student balancing activities and jobs to now a full-time job plus blogging plus being a wife. For each stage, I’ve used/will use different planners, which is why I wanted to write this post. A planner that works for me might not work for your lifestyle, or maybe one that used to apply to me will work better for you.

Either way, here’s my planner roundup!

Lilly Pulitzer Planner

This was the first one I bought when I started to get into planners. I loved that it came with stickers (all of which I used up) and that it was so bright and fun. The size was great, I used it religiously and I would definitely recommend it as a starter, especially if you’re still in school. While I did love it at the time, once I got out of college I wanted something a little more mature looking.

Kate Spade Agenda

Which brings me to my Kate Spade. Now don’t get me wrong- I’m a big KS girl. Adore the bags, her prints, everything- but the planner was probably my least fave. It was extremely small in comparison, especially the monthly view. I also didn’t like that it was not as customizable as some of the other options. So if you’re looking for something you can get in a variety of sizes to jot things down in or just small reminders, then check these out. But if you’ve got a jam-packed schedule and need space, try a different brand.

Erin Condren Life Planner

So I never had an EC, but my roommate had one and was super into planning and honestly I was obsessed with it. She got stickers and stamps and decorated each week and I literally died. It was so cute and organized and I love the amount of space and customization they offer. However, the price point for these planners is pretty steep.  So if you’re really into planning, definitely check these out!

Plum Paper Planner

Finally, the PPP. I have seen these everywhere and I think they are the perfect balance. They’re nice and big with plenty of space and can be very customized- for example, I prefer the vertical layout because it makes my day and to-do lists flow more easily. I love the goal sheets it has and I think for the price point, it’s very much worth it. My sister recently ordered one and I love it!

I will be ordering my new planner this week and I’m going to go with a Plum Paper! I’m so excited to customize it and get organized for everything coming my way.
